Power Savings
Energy is often the largest expenditure of greenhouses and home growers alike. By switching to our LED grow lights, you can become more energy-efficient and save a lot of money compared to using HPS. The electricity costs for HPS are around €100 per month per light, compared to €65 for a single LED grow light. This is based on average European electricity costs. The costs of using HPS bulbs are almost 50% higher.
By using LEDs you will not only save money on your energy bill, but also on the expenditures on an HVAC system. This is because LED light give off a lot less heat (see below).

Long Lifespan
One of the greatest benefits to our LED grow lights is their lifespan of at least 50,000 hours compared to only 10,000 hours for HPS bulbs. This means that you could run LED lights 24 hours a day for over 5 years straight without worrying about replacing your bulbs or significant reduction in light intensity. HPS bulbs should be replaced every 10-14 months since they lose their light intensity. The level of efficiency and reliability of LEDs is unmatched in the market and can save you a significant amount of money.
Higher Profit
The overall quality of our systems also allows for higher quality crops, fast crop cycles, and higher yields. This translates in 40% higher profits compared to HPS lights with the same power output. And this is without taking into account the savings like longer lifespan, lower climate control costs, and having no maintenance costs when using our LED light! See your profits soar to new heights!

Less Heat
Because HPS bulbs are much less efficient in converting energy to light, they are hotter (over 450°C) than LED lights (around 65°C). This translates to higher HVAC costs since room temperatures will increase fast. Furthermore, HPS lights need to be hanging higher, since the top of the canopy is at risk of being burned, resulting in a loss of light intensity. LED lights emit less heat, resulting in lower costs for temperature control, and these lights can be hung closer to the canopy, increasing light intensity. Furthermore, HPS emits a lot of radiant heat downwards onto the canopy whereas LED mostly emits convection heat through the heatsinks upwards. Additionally, HPS bulbs are a greater fire risk than LED lights.
Optimum Light Spectrum
Not only are our LED fixtures energy efficient, but they are also reliable. The light frequency emitted from traditional HPS assimilation lights is only in a specific region of the PAR light spectrum that is usable for photosynthesis. It mostly emits light in the less efficient part of the PAR spectrum and performs poorly in important parts of the PAR spectrum like Chlorophyll A and B. HPS grow lights are very inefficient due to this reason. Our LED lights solve this common issue by emitting a full light spectrum that allows crops to carry out photosynthesis without wasting light or energy. Almost all of the light frequency emitted by our LED diodes is usable for photosynthesis and falls within the McCree Curve. A common misconception made by some LED grow light companies are their focus on chlorophyll A and B. Crops will grow but there’s much more to photosynthesis other than chlorophyll A and B. LED lights optimized to the McCree Curve will grow crops that are lush, bigger and more healthy. Your crops will thank you!
Healthier Plants
While HPS can only offer light mostly in the orange-red spectrum, LED can provide your plants with Ultraviolet (UV) and Far-Red (FR) light on top of a full PAR spectrum. UV and FR light keep your plants healthy by dealing with pests, insects, fungus, and plant diseases. Furthermore, through the use of the lights, your plants need less rest and produce better color, taste, and smell.
